Numat’s play accessories help you add more play opportunities to your playground and transform your space to really stand out.

With our balls, steppers, rocks, and slacklines, you can create play opportunities for all ages and abilities. As well as being low maintenance and environmentally friendly, our play accessories are also perfect for small spaces and offer open-ended ways to play and explore.

Playground Accessories

Steppers

Steppers can be used to create seating, balance play and edging around your playspace while also developing imaginative and open-ended play.

Balls

Balance Balls can be made to order and all components are designed for outdoor use. Balance Balls come with high-quality rubber on the outer layer, making them customizable with 24 different colour options and three different sizes. Suitable for a range of age groups and abilities.

PlayPods

Our PlayPods were designed and developed as a permanent solution to the problem of bark scuffing out under play equipment. Installed under play equipment, they provide a long-term safety surface and all-weather scuff zone.

Featured case study

Queenstown Garden’s Playground

Numat worked alongside Reset Urban Design and JFC Construction to deliver Queenstown’s first destination playground. The playground is located near the shoreline of Lake Wakatipu in the beautiful Queenstown Gardens – a high-profile central location.

The colours used for the playground surface were chosen to fit the ‘green trees and autumn colours’ theme. The orange, green, and yellow colour mixes used for the surfacing complement perfectly the natural park surroundings of the gardens.

Further case studies

Fearon Park Playground

A  feature of the playground is the unique use of Pour’n’Play in a series of filled steppers that form a course around the playground’s large climbing structure.

Mount Drury Playground

Numat installed the new Pour’n’Play playground surface at Mount Drury Playground in Tauranga and added some extra play value through the installation of Pour’n’Play steppers.

New Zealand's First Rampline Balance Park

Balance Parks are designed and produced by Norwegian company Rampline, bringing together a range of balance play elements – slacklines, balance balls, steppers, mini-trampolines, and playground safety surfacing – to offer a challenging balance course for kids (and adults) to test their balance skills on.

Anderson Park Playground

Numat supplied and installed roughly 800m2 of Pour’n’Play and PermaPlay Turf surfacing for the project. The surfacing helped designers, Boffa Miskell, to achieve the accessibility and challenge outcomes they were aiming for.
